Real Ways to be a WAHM with Unilab Logo

Join us on this fun-filled day of learning and lots of networking with fellow work-at-home professionals as we bring you a day loaded with all you need to know to become a home-based Virtual Assistant. During the morning session, you can expect to learn about branding yourself as a freelancer or a mom-preneur, as well as the realities of the virtual assistance business and how to cope. The afternoon will feature learning sessions on real VA opportunities – Social Media and Community Management, and Transcription.

    Marge Aberasturi
Marge is a self-made, online entrepreneur and veteran work-at-home mom. With a background in the corporate credit-management sector, Marge was able to successfully establish her virtual assistance business, VA Support Pro, a comprehensive business solutions boutique. She also empowers women who want to travel the path of making a career from home while managing a home, and has been enjoying the location-independent, entrepreneurial lifestyle for the past seven years.

    Emily Cal
Emily has been doing transcriptions for almost 20 years. She started out as a script translator, transcribe and subtitlist for ABS-CBN International (now Global), and later on worked as a broadcast transcribe for the same network. 2007 was a turning point in her career, when she asked her mom to buy her a laptop and discovered there were home-based transcription jobs out there. She has since been doing transcription work from home, both fulltime, and as work on the side to supplement her earnings from her corporate job. She finally left the corporate world to focus full time on home-based work while she cared for her ailing mother, until recently passed away. Today, she continues to work from home as a transcriber for repeat clients.
